Why are drainage grates needed?

Drainage, water intake, and rain grates are all different names for the same element of surface water drainage, the main purpose of which is to reliably cover water drainage channels. All rain grates bear large mechanical loads, reducing the impact on the channels themselves and thereby extending their service life. Depending on the material of manufacture and strength index, grates are classified into load classes from A to F, which characterize their ability to withstand loads of a certain level.
