Floor hatches

When it comes to modern construction, it is very difficult to do without laying various engineering communications under the floor. This is where floor hatches come in handy. They are made of aluminum profile, and the hatch cover is filled with laminate, parquet, concrete, in other words, the necessary flooring covering for each specific case. In principle, the hatch is a rectangular container with a reinforcing mesh, its location is indicated only by a thin gap around the cover. Naturally, these products must withstand significant loads, so they are made of strong material.

Looking more closely at the assortment, it is worth mentioning the main types of floor hatches:

  • Removable - these are products with a removable cover, around which a rubber
    sealant is attached. For convenient opening, the hatch cover is equipped with a special locking ring;
  • Filled - inspection products with a recessed cover designed to be filled with certain materials.
  • As for the closing mechanism, they can have fasteners, steel hinges;
  • With gas struts - designs with non-removable doors attached to hinges and equipped with gas lifters (they facilitate closing/opening);
  • With a textured surface - fully finished structures that do not require additional filling or cladding with finishing materials.

The hatch cover has a specific texture to prevent slipping. Aluminum, as well as stainless or galvanized steel, is used as the material for producing such floor hatches. Most often, these products are used in industrial facilities inside or outside buildings: providing access to shafts, to operational channels of pedestrian walkways.
In general, floor hatches should have good operational properties, so they are made of durable materials that are corrosion-resistant and characterized by high environmental resistance.
