Installation of a quality and effective dirt protection system is one of the most important factors in ensuring cleanliness of premises. This is especially important for premises visited by hundreds or thousands of people every day. Shopping centers, supermarkets, entertainment complexes, indoor stadiums, concert halls, and other highly frequented premises should have maximum protection against dirt brought in by the footwear of a large number of people.
Today, the three-stage dirt protection system for premises has proven itself well, where the entrance to the premises is divided into three functional zones: a porch (street), an anteroom, and a vestibule (lobby).
The first stage of dirt protection is designed to remove large dirt particles from shoe soles and is installed in the first entrance zone - usually the porch. Typically, steel grates are used here, installed in a pit, the design of which allows large dirt and snow fragments to pass through the through holes and structural gaps in the systems. Also, aluminum grates with rubber inserts, often equipped with a scraper, are used here.
The second stage of dirt protection is designed to remove smaller dirt particles (such as sand, moisture, etc.) from shoe soles and is installed in the second entrance zone - between the external and internal doors of the entrance group - the anteroom. Rubber matting or aluminum grates with textile and bristle inserts have proven to be effective here.
The third stage of dirt protection is the final stage of shoe cleaning, collecting moisture and dust residues from shoe soles, and is installed in the vestibule. Mainly, the dirt protection coverings of the third stage are moisture-absorbing carpets on a waterproof base.
Usually, when arranging entrance systems for the most effective shoe cleaning, it is recommended to provide at least 6 steps with dirt protection coverings.
