Modular rubber coverings are used to protect main floor coverings from dirt or to cover floors in industrial premises. They are plates made of durable plastic resistant to various "aggressive" environments, such as gasoline, oil, and so on.
The high strength of the material, as well as the considerable thickness of the tiles (up to 7 millimeters), provide the modular covering with high strength, allowing it to withstand significant loads, such as the movement on the rollers of machines and units or the movement of loaders on spiked rubber. In addition, the material from which the modular covering is made has insulating properties, significantly increasing the level of safety when used in industrial premises. Resistance to external factors allows this type of covering to be used not only indoors, but also outdoors.
Among the main advantages of modular dirt-resistant coverings are relatively low cost and ease of installation. Elements of rubber floor coverings are fastened together using special "dovetail" type fasteners. Unlike most floor coverings that can only be laid on a horizontal surface, this type can be laid even on a sloping surface. The fastenings not only allow for simple installation, but also, if necessary, allow the covering to be disassembled and moved to another room. In case of damage to one of the elements, it can be easily replaced, which greatly simplifies repairs and reduces costs.
Rubber coverings are used to protect against dirt and excess moisture. Rubber carpet coverings are often used at entrances to supermarkets and shopping centers and in various technical areas. There is also a special type of floor covering for pools. Having all the advantages of industrial modular coverings, such as strength, resistance to external factors, and low cost, the dirt-resistant type of covering, due to its porous structure, is capable of retaining dirt and excess moisture and preventing it from entering "clean" premises. This makes it much easier to maintain cleanliness and, due to the less frequent use of aggressive cleaning agents, significantly extends the service life of the main floor covering.
