Drainage grates

Drainage grates are one of the components of surface drainage. Together with other drainage components such as rainwater inlets, drainage channels, and others, they create a system for cleaning, collecting, and draining water beyond the plot.

What are the requirements for drainage grates?

Regardless of the material from which the grates are made, they must meet a number of requirements:

  • High corrosion resistance;
  • High wear resistance;
  • Durability.


These requirements are met by using modern materials for production.

Drainage grates are designed to protect linear drainage channels from being clogged with street litter, leaves, and various damages and edge breakages of the channels. Drainage grates come in different sizes and shapes. Grates cover water drains in industrial organizations and subways.

Drainage grates are made of stainless steel, galvanized steel, cast iron, copper, which withstand various loads (friction and high pressure). Stainless steel and galvanized steel grates can be used in places where there are increased requirements for the corrosion resistance properties of the material. Cast iron grates are used at gas stations, industrial organization areas, logistics centers, and on the sidelines of roads.

Drainage grates also serve for the aesthetic decoration of the appearance of plots, technical structures, and streets.
