Hydraulic calculation
Hydraulic calculation is necessary for calculating pressure pipelines connected to the general sewer system. The task facing the hydraulic calculation process is to determine the capacity (flow rate), pressure losses at different sections.
When installing a sewer system in a private house, specialists conduct all calculations in advance, excluding possible defects that could lead to tragic situations. At the initial stage, great attention is paid to the installation of the ventilation system, the role of which is performed by the sewer riser that extends to the roof of the house. The ventilation pipe is installed at a height of 300-500 mm. The ventilation pipe should be at least four meters away from the window.
After setting up the ventilation system, specialists proceed with the process of laying sewer pipes. The sewer system may include several risers and one horizontal pipe distribution, which is done at an inclination of 2-3 degrees relative to the drainage of wastewater. All plumbing fixtures installed in the house are connected to the riser. Pipes related to the horizontal distribution are connected to the vertical risers using couplings.
Risers perform collector work to combat impurities that form in the sewer system and transport wastewater outside. Impurities are drained down the riser to the basement, passing through a horizontal pipe that discharges all sewage waste outside.
When laying sewer pipes and connecting plumbing fixtures, avoid installing them at right angles. For this purpose, oblique tees are selected. Internal sewer distribution is mainly done using plastic polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, or polypropylene pipes.
These pipes are easy to install and use, as they are lightweight. When connecting pipes together, remember that the couplings should not create resistance to the flow of wastewater.
