Dirt protection. Dirt protection systems
In the USA and countries of Western and Eastern Europe, so-called barrier dust protection systems have found wide application. By their structure, dust protection systems are divided into certain sectors of protection against dirt penetration from the street. Street dirt in the form of components contains practically all derivatives of salts and metal oxides. Irreparable damage is inflicted on the natural flooring. Moreover, dirt from visitors' shoes penetrates and spreads throughout the building. To provide complete or at least partial protection against penetration of street dirt into the premises, a barrier protection has been developed. The dust protection has several sectors:
First sector dust protection systems. Rubber and metal grids are mainly used in this sector. Such grids are installed near the entrance doors of the premises. Functionally, this sector resembles a coarse filter. It is designed to prevent the penetration of large dirt particles into the building. Small stones and clumps of dirt are scraped off visitors' shoes and are trapped in large clusters.
Second sector of dust protection. In this sector, in the form of modular coatings, dust protection is located in the vestibule of the premises. Such coatings are most effective in protecting the premises from sand, snow, and street dirt penetration. Modular coating functions as passive protection. The construction of the coating is so effective that the tread of any footwear is cleaned by 85-90% from sand or street dirt.
Third sector. In this sector, dust protection in the form of mats is used. Such mats are placed after the vestibule, right at the entrance directly to the premises. Dust protection mats are located at the final stage of barrier protection from dirt. They finally clean the shoes from dirt thanks to the special and original pile structure. The area of the mats is calculated strictly individually for optimal use of the coating. Such mats can be placed directly at the entrance to the building, thereby additionally emphasizing its neatness and formality.
